The Augusta Supervisors have proposed a 48-cents-per-$100 rate for the upcoming budget, a reduction of 10 cents after county-wide grassroots protested the 2009 real estate assessments that saw many property values soar 50% and more.
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 29 for the budget hearing, and Wednesday, May 6, for the budget vote. Both meetings will be held at the Augusta Government Center in Verona.
