First day of Autumn 2009 ... signs of Fall

Fall means leaves....

Chrysanthemums ... a sure sign of Fall.

Cayenne peppers are ready to use.

Nandinas are loaded with berries.

Nuts and berries are in abundance this year ... signs of a bad winter?

This evergreen rarely has berries ... and never as many as this year.

Political signs are a sure indication it's Fall.

Seedum....

Trees are losing their lush green color ... early leaves are on the ground.

Sassafrass tree leaves are brilliant reds and burgandy.
It's Autumn in the Shenandoah Valley.
