Glenn Beck's Friday show featured conservative African-Americans

Glenn Beck's Friday show on Fox News featured an audience made up entirely of conservative African-Americans from across America (and many disagreed with the "African-American" label).

They touched on many subjects. One talked about changing the image of black conservatives ... another said black children should not be ridiculed for speaking proper English or earning straight As in school or teased for "talking white" or "dressing white" ... they stressed education and one lady called it "plantation politics" at the White House because people were standing around waiting for their bills to be paid. A young investment broker said it was nonsense to redistribute wealth ... this administration's policies were called racist ... one man who was a tea party organizer said he had been called a tea bagger and redneck.

Again the education issue was important with one lady saying she had raised her children in a strict, Christian home with rules to follow. Kids, she said, should be taught the Constitution and Bill of Rights ... they know rap and pop songs but not our history.

There was so much more they talked about but I couldn't take notes fast enough. I was impressed by those who spoke and what they did for a living, and here are the ones I was able to jot down:

- Robin Martin, accountant
- Angel Robinson, Campaign for Liberty
- David Webb, Founder, Tea Party 365
- Barbara Summers, Former real estate agent
- Robert Broadus, Computer Programer
- Jibreel Riley, Student (who noted that we should wake up every day and thank God that we live in America)
- Rafiq Jenkins, data specialist
- Gordon Jenkins, Mayor of Monticello, NY
- Lenny McAllister, author of "Diary of a Mad Black P.Y.C."
- James Davemann, financial analyst
- Francisco Dan'Lyn, financial service company owner
- Shakera Jones, NYU School of Law Admissions Office
- Brandon Brice, Republican Strategist from Harlem
- Deneen Borelli, Project 21 Fellow
- Kevin Jackson, "The Big Black Lie" author
- Richard Fair, Government Affairs Specialist
- Khalid Thomas, Guest Service Representative
- Mychael Massie, Project 21
- Jerome Hudson, Retail Sales Consultant
- Lisa Fritsch, Radio Talk Show Host
- Maurice Sherrod, Bartender

Good show and good to hear from conservative black Americans who have definite opinions about the direction of this country.
