Friday at noon ... icicles on bird feeder which is a busy place today as dozens of cardinals, bluejays, juncos, titmouse, woodpeckers, and more flock to the smorgasboard. Snow is now falling on top of the ice.
A walk around the back yard in the snow at noon revealed icy branches and leaves.
Grass is completely ice-covered and now snow is covering that.
Cedar trees are bending under the weight of ice.
It's a gray, cold day in the central Shenandoah Valley. Meanwhile, the snow drifts down as we enjoy staying home with the woodstove cranking out heat.
