George Allen greets Barth Berry, owner of Berry's Natural Way in downtown Staunton. Barth is retired from the Army National Guard (Staunton Armory Stonewall Brigade) and served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Allen thanked Berry for his military service and they talked about the news that terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden had been killed. Barth is married and the father of four young children.

At the Clocktower Restaurant, owner Giampiero Di Guardo was happy to talk with Gov. Allen as Anthony Altomonte looks on. Di Guardo immigrated from Rome, Italy, finding a business opportunity in Staunton.
Rebecca Watson, owner of Turtle Lane, enjoys a laugh with Gov. Allen. Before leaving the shop, he purchased a handmade opal ring for a gift.
Alex Davis, Chairman of the Staunton Republican Committee, escorted George Allen on a walking tour of downtown Staunton Monday. Earlier, Allen had addressed a packed room at Rowe's Restaurant during a lunch that was led by Alex.
