After last week's closing of the northbound lanes of I-81 in northern Rockbridge County due to a sinkhole, another sinkhole is causing more problems.
Ken Slack with NBC-29 has reported that a sinkhole on Rt. 250 west of Staunton is larger than first thought and has narrowed Rt. 250 to one lane. At least 20 feet wide and 15 feet deep, the sinkhole will have crews digging until they hit solid rock, then they will fill with rock and dirt and repave before opening the roadway to traffic, hopefully by sometime on Tuesday.
