· H.R. 1213 - Repeal mandatory funding provided to states in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to establish American Health Benefit Exchanges (Sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton / Energy and Commerce Committee)
· H.R. 1214 - Repeal mandatory funding for school-based health center construction (Sponsored by Rep. Michael Burgess / Energy and Commerce Committee)
Today’s Committee Schedule:
The Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises will meet at 10 am today and begin marking up seven pieces of Job Creation Legislation including H.R. 1082 “The Small Business Capital Access And Job Preservation Act,” introduced by Rep. Robert Hurt (VA-05). The bill would reduce government mandates and unnecessary regulations on private equity firms implemented by the new Dodd-Frank law and thereby promote increased access to capital for small businesses in Virginia and across the country.
