Augusta, Staunton, Waynesboro sever ties with regional SPCA

The Augusta Regional SPCA has lost the patronage of the local regional governments after reportedly initially making an agreement and then pulling out after all jurisdictions had agreed to it.

Today those jurisdictions announced they will be severing ties with the animal shelter and using services provided elsewhere, according to NBC-29.

The SPCA recently opened a newly built spay-neuter clinic for $800,000.
