The full moon last night was absolutely breath-taking! By 8:30 it was rising from behind the Blue Ridge Mountains while still daylight outside. Look how perfectly round it was ... gorgeous! I grabbed my camera and took some shots, then just watched as that July moon rose in the sky.
Meanwhile, behind me to the west, sunset was taking place over the Appalachian Mountains.
I zoomed in for a closer shot. Unbelievable how such a little Nikon camera can get such detail on an object so far away....
