Frontier Culture Museum welcomes the Eze Nri of the Igbo people


The Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia is happy to host the Eze Nri of the Igbo people to the West African Farm and Museum this weekend. Board members will welcome them in a private dinner tonight.

On Saturday, July 30, 2011, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Igwe Obidiegwu Onyeso, Eze Nri Enweleana 11 of Anambra State Nigera will be in attendance for the planting of an authentic Nri traditional Nzu at the Igbo Farm Village. Accompanying the Eze Nri will be His Royal Highness Igwe Christopher Idigo, Ogalagidi 1 of Aguleri.

The ceremony will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. for the traditional blessing of the West African farm. Free admission for the public begins at 4:00.
