Glenn Beck worth $90 million

Proving he can make money hand-over-fist by leading the masses and charging them for access, radio personality Glenn Beck is worth $90 million, according to Forbes. Not bad for someone who spreads a continuous "sky is falling" rhetoric.

Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck announced on this morning's Glenn Beck radio show that she will be joining him on August 28, 2010, at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, to honor our troops.

Beck-O'Reilly 3:00 show cancelled in Norfolk

The Glenn Beck-Bill O'Reilly "Bold Fresh Tour" just seems to have trouble with its Norfolk appearance. First, they were snowed out in February when a huge blizzard hit Virginia. The show was rescheduled for today at 8:00. There was so much interest a 3:00 show was added for this afternoon.

A friend had tickets to the February show that was cancelled but was fine with the rescheduling on May 21. When the 3:00 show was added, she requested tickets for that and was told they would be at the "will hold" window.

She just called from I-64 heading back to the Valley. Disappointed, she and her husband showed up to pick up the tickets this afternoon and were told it had been cancelled. They were told there was a scheduling conflict and no tickets were left for the 8:00 show.

She was disappointed and they were stuck in that I-64 traffic when she called but she was her usual perky self and said it just wasn't meant to be. Too bad ... it probably would have been a pretty good show.

Sarah Palin recognizes Glenn Beck in TIME Magazine's Top 100

Some people love him ... some people hate him. However he is viewed, Glenn Beck has made the Barack Obama administration sit up and take notice as he educates America with blackboard illustrations, offers to listen to government insider whistle blowers, his use of those knowledgeable in their fields, and all the research, research, research.

Glenn Beck caught the attention of TIME Magazine (I prefer THYME Magazine) as one of the 100 people who most affected their world ... and Sarah Palin, also one of TIME'S Top 100, wrote the accompanying article. She jokingly pokes fun while noting his many contributions:

Who'd have thought a history buff with a quirky sense of humor and a chalkboard could make for such riveting television? ... Self-taught, he's become America's professor of common sense, sharing earnestly sought knowledge with an audience hungry for truth. Glenn, 46, tackles topics other news shows would regard as arcane.

Gov. Palin mentions the red phone on Glenn's Fox News television set, the phone dedicated to calls from the Obama administration informing Glenn he is wrong about an issues. So far, the phone has remained silent which is not surprising considering the exhaustive amounts of research done by Mr. Beck and his staff.

Glenn Beck: "Do not confuse truth with hatred"

I was watching Glenn Beck's Fox News show Friday and, while I do not agree with him all the time, I find much of what he says educational. Something caught my attention and, rather than paraphrasing what he said, I will directly quote from the program. If you pull up the video link, his monologue regarding this issue begins at 13:30. Here's what he had to say:

We are on a progressive nightmare train to hell. Our system is not smearing people anymore ... it's training people to hate thy neighbor. We have to stop that. Martin Luther King talked about no matter how much they hate, you treat with respect. I haven't done that. I have to. It's going to be hard because people confuse the truth with hatred.

Do not confuse the truth with hatred.

I do hate the things that are being done to my country ... but I don't hate the people involved. And when I start to feel that anger rise up in me, quite honestly, I pray because of the scripture that I read that talks about the Lord will turn away from you and that's not what we're supposed to do.

Here's what I think we're supposed to do. We have to use our free speech and go in the other direction. We cannot spread messages of hate, we just have to spread the truth, and have faith in the American people that when they see these things, when they see actual videos -- the people themselves saying the things that you've been saying all along -- then Americans will wake up.

We just have to have faith that justice will prevail....

Glenn Beck to address Liberty University graduation

The Washington Examiner is reporting that conservative radio and Fox News commentator Glenn Beck will deliver the commencement address at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, on May 15, 2010.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the announcement was made by Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr., who said:

“[Glenn] Beck is one of the few courageous voices in the national media standing up for the principles upon which this nation was founded.”

I'll bet that ends up being one powerful speech.

Glenn Beck interviews Eric Massa today at 5 pm

Glenn Beck's television show schedule has been rearranged to make room for Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) this afternoon and, after yesterday's audio release of Massa's rant against Rahm Emanuel and the White House, it should be an interesting hour. Fox News carried Glenn Beck's speech at CPAC live ... and what a speech it was! He had the crowd on its feet as he hammered on principles that are plain old common sense which is why his message resonates with so many everyday Americans.

Among the many excellent points he made ...

- When America is made up of 40% conservatives, 36% moderates, and 20% liberals ... how is it that the minority rules the majority?

- Liberals know how to package their message in a way that America buys it, then opens the package, and says, "I don't want that."

- He received a standing ovation when he said, "Without failure, there is no sweetness in success."

- We have the right to pursue happiness ... but no on is guaranteed happiness.

- We don't have a right to housing, health care, or handouts.

- As government grows, we give our freedoms away. We're pricing ourselves out of the American dream.

- He attended one semester -- one class -- in college. Why? Because he couldn't afford it. However, he never felt he was owed an education.

- The American people are not the bad guys. We don't need to be told to be charitable ... we some of the most giving people on earth. In 2008, Americans gave $307 billion to charities, ten times more than the giving power of the people of France.

- He said, "Don't tell me we should be more like Europe. Europe should be looking over here!" [Chants of USA, USA, USA from crowd]

- There is no cap on success in America.

- All men are created equal in America. Not all men will end up equal.

- We need less Marx and more Madison to restore America.

- Not everyone gets a trophy. Start correcting school work in red ink again.

- Our rights were given to us by God. When someone tries to take away those rights, a warning bell goes off. That's what America is feeling right now ... a big warning bell going off.

O'Reilly-Beck "Bold Fresh" tour in Norfolk postponed

The Bill O'Reilly-Glenn Beck "Bold Fresh" tour scheduled for tomorrow night, January 30, in Norfolk, Virginia, has been postponed due to the approaching winter storm bringing the potential of snow, ice, and other winter weather across the Commonwealth.

Glenn Beck announced the postponement on his radio show at about 10:30 Friday morning and said the tour would be rescheduled for Friday, May 21, 2010, at the same venue. A decision was made this far out so those traveling from other areas would have a heads-up instead of a last-minute cancelation.

Sure enough, local friends had planned to head to the beach area today and spend the entire weekend while taking in the O'Reilly-Beck appearance. They caught the announcement and are now unpacking their bags....

Obama's "Lies of the Union" address

Unbelievable, pull-your-hair-out words came out of the mouth of Barack Obama during his "Lies of the Union" address before the American people Wednesday night.

Erick Erickson at RedState nailed him:

Tonight, Barack Obama said, "To close that credibility gap we must take action on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue to end the outsized influence of lobbyists; to do our work openly; and to give our people the government they deserve.

"That's what I came to Washington to do. That's why - for the first time in history - my Administration posts our White House visitors online. And that's why we've excluded lobbyists from policy-making jobs or seats on federal boards and commissions."

Maybe this explains why his national security policies are so weak. He put William Lynn in the Pentagon as Deputy Defense Secretary. Mr. Lynn was a lobbyist for Defense Contractor Ratheon. I guess the Deputy Defense Secretary is not a policy-making job.

Eric Holder, attorney general nominee, was registered to lobby until 2004 on behalf of clients including Global Crossing, a bankrupt telecommunications firm [now confirmed].

Tom Vilsack, secretary of agriculture nominee, was registered to lobby as recently as last year on behalf of the National Education Association.

William Lynn, deputy defense secretary nominee, was registered to lobby as recently as last year for defense contractor Raytheon, where he was a top executive.

William Corr, deputy health and human services secretary nominee, was registered to lobby until last year for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, a non-profit that pushes to limit tobacco use.

David Hayes, deputy interior secretary nominee, was registered to lobby until 2006 for clients, including the regional utility San Diego Gas & Electric.

Mark Patterson, chief of staff to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, was registered to lobby as recently as last year for financial giant Goldman Sachs.

Ron Klain, chief of staff to Vice President Joe Biden, was registered to lobby until 2005 for clients, including the Coalition for Asbestos Resolution, U.S. Airways, Airborne Express and drug-maker ImClone.

Mona Sutphen, deputy White House chief of staff, was registered to lobby for clients, including Angliss International in 2003.

Melody Barnes, domestic policy council director, lobbied in 2003 and 2004 for liberal advocacy groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the American Constitution Society and the Center for Reproductive Rights.

Cecilia Munoz, White House director of intergovernmental affairs, was a lobbyist as recently as last year for the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic advocacy group.
Patrick Gaspard, White House political affairs director, was a lobbyist for the Service Employees International Union.

Michael Strautmanis, chief of staff to the president's assistant for intergovernmental relations, lobbied for the American Association of Justice from 2001 until 2005.

The mainstream media are criminally negligent, in my opinion, in not doing their jobs. No wonder there is a continuing rise in the conservative blogosphere ... but I keep holding out for a few journalists who will actually be concerned for their country and do the right thing by beginning to bring the discrepancies to light.

Meanwhile, Fox News continues to lead in truthful reporting as millions flock to them for fair and balanced news coverage.

Thank goodness for top-rated Glenn Beck, #1 talk radio host Rush Limbaugh, #2 radio host Sean Hannity, Red State and all the other conservative internet outlets ... and of course the top-rated Fox News Channel.

Bill O'Reilly-Glenn Beck teaming up for "Bold & Fresh Tour 2010"

The Big Announcement had been postponed a week because of Glenn Beck's emergency appendectomy last week ... but tonight Beck appeared on O'Reilly's show and the Big Announcement was made.

Glenn Beck recuperates from appendectomy

Glenn Beck, conservative radio host, showed up to work Wednesday morning but was not feeling well. He left about an hour into the show to visit his doctor and it was learned he had appenticitis. His show released the following:

After being in pain most of the night, Glenn ended up leaving the radio program early yesterday to see a doctor. Turned out the pain was appendicitis and Glenn underwent surgery. Everything went well and he is now in recovery and doing fine. Glenn and his wife Tania are so thankful for all the kind words, prayers and support from everyone. Well, almost everyone. Those compassionate loving liberal bloggers were bummed things didn't end differently for Glenn.

Glenn Beck and Fox News recognized by Thomas Sowell for exposing Obama appointees

Thomas Sowell said it in his column, "Dismantling America":

Any miscalculation on his [Barack Obama's] part would be in not thinking that others would discover what these stealth appointees were like. Had it not been for the Fox News Channel, these stealth appointees might have remained unexposed for what they are. Fox News is now high on the administration's enemies list.

Glenn Beck has been connecting the dots and exposing the ugly underbelly of the Barack Obama administration.

For that he is vilified not only by the liberals, the White House, Democrats, and moonbats but also by some conservatives and others who seem more content on bashing rather than listening.

I agree with the Other McCain

The Other McCain asks, "Can't All Conservatives At Least Agree that Glenn Beck is not the enemy?"

Exactly!

It is tiring to hear people attack the messenger instead of the message ... and Glenn Beck is a case in point. Some think it's not cool to admit that they agree with Beck ... but he has helped to awaken conservatives in this country.

His "We Surround Them" parties around the nation earlier this year alerted folks that they were not alone in their thoughts and concerns over the direction of America.

His "9/12 Project" gave folks something to hold onto and showed that others had the same basic beliefs as they.

His research into the Obama administration should have been done by the formerly mainstream media. If not for Beck, how else would we have learned of the radical communist background of former Green Jobs Czar Van Jones? "Mainline" news outlets never mentioned the controversy until after Jones resigned.

Beck is researching ACORN and exposing the corruption in that mammoth organization that thrives on tax dollars. Now Congress and others are backing away from the organization, and the Census Bureau has broken its ties with ACORN.

Beck is researching other groups such as APOLLO that were founded by radicals who are now firmly planted in the White House with Barack Obama.

Barack Obama said, "Judge me by the people I surround myself with." Glenn Beck took him at his word and began to look into the people who surround Obama ... and he is sharing what he has found.

For too long Americans have remained silent. For too long our elected officials were voted in to do a job ... and then fell in with the old ways of Congress. For too long the status quo has continued in Washington, DC.

So Glenn Beck came along and began to research and expose and connect the dots. He reached out through his talk radio show and his Fox News TV show to assure folks he would be working on this, that their concerns were being heard, and that they were not the only ones who wondered what was going on.

He assured them that they were not alone.

Perhaps those who distance themselves and disagree the most are the ones who should have been doing the investigating in the first place. Instead they malign and joke about the man ... they belittle and make fun.

Meanwhile, Beck and his family and employees have been threatened because he has dared to expose corruption ... yet he is attacked by his own allies? While the Left circles the wagons and protects its own no matter what they do, we are determined to tear our people down.

And that is why the Other McCain is saying, "Glenn Beck is not the enemy!"

Glenn Beck was a driving force in disseminating information that caused the dismissal of Van Jones. He is still digging. Pay attention ... you may be surprised as what he finds next.

We surround him....

Several years ago conservative radio and CNN TV talk show host Glenn Beck warned of a financial crisis in America. He saw the handwriting on the wall ... but he was dismissed as a nut and a conspiracy theorist.

In late 2008-early 2009, this nation plunged into a financial crisis.

Earlier this year Beck moved to Fox News Channel. Using his own researchers and those provided at Fox, he conducted extensive research into radical groups, leaders, and those who are around and appointed by Barack Obama. He has used his radio and TV shows to disseminate that information to the American people.

The response has been phenomenal. He has unearthed information about Van Jones, the so-called "Green Jobs Czar," who had been an avowed communist and a 9/11 "truther" (believed the U.S. Government was behind the 9/11 terrorism attacks) and much more. Beck exposed information about Jones as well as other "czars" who have not been vetted but have access to the White House, and began digging into ACORN, that group that Obama once was a part of and appears to still be utilized by Obama.

Glenn Beck began connecting the dots.

In the wee hours of the morning of September 6, Van Jones resigned from the Obama administration.

On March 13, 2009, Glenn Beck urged ordinary citizens to get together for "We Surround Them" parties to show they were not alone, that there were many others who were concerned about out-of-control spending of the government and other concerns. Thousands across the country turned out and watched his 5:00 Fox News show outlining the 9/12 Project. He urged them to regather on Sept. 12.

Now Glenn Beck is under attack from the liberal left. His life has been threatened, his family has been threatened, his staff has been threatened, and they have vowed to destroy him however they can. For what? For speaking out, for exposing those who would endanger this country, and for not stopping when intimidated by those very people.

Today's NewsMax announces that Keith Olbermann is asking for help in digging up "dirt" on Beck:

After Glenn Beck scored a touchdown for the right with the announcement this weekend that Obama’s Green Jobs Czar Van Jones had resigned, liberal MSNBC host Keith Olbermann has come out swinging.

In a post made to his Daily Kos blog, Olbermann says he wants readers to help him dig up dirt on Beck, as well as Fox News chairman Roger Ailes.

Olbermann promised his fans: “Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his TV enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony "truce" push).”

The angry left cannot respond with facts. They respond with vitriol and character assassination.

All those ordinary citizens who were assured by Mr. Beck that they were not alone have now closed in and surrounded him to let him know he is not alone.
