Townhall Meeting - January 4, 2007
Addressing a group of constituents, Delegate Ben Cline answered questions during a townhall meeting at the Augusta County Library in Fishersville. Issues of interest included transporation, education, payday loans, I-81 and Rt. 29 thoroughfares, state employee issues, and more.
Whitney Duff, Director of Americans for Prosperity, shared the purpose for AFP and how they expose pork in the state budget which allows for less tax increases and better use of public funds.
Area elected officials are meeting with their constituents in preparation for the General Assembly Session which begins on Wednesday, January 10. This year's "short" session will last for 45 days.
