Townhall Meeting, Staunton City Hall
January 2, 2007
Delegate Chris Saxman held a townhall meeting at Staunton's City Hall where a group of constituents were on hand to ask questions about everything from health care to transporation to state workers' benefits to payday lending institutions to the number of terms someone should be governor in Virginia.
(For the record, Chris is undecided about gubernatorial terms and sees merits on both sides.)
A TV-3 interview was broadcast live at 5:35 p.m. followed by an interview and coverage by NBC-29. The Staunton News Leader and Waynesboro News-Virginian were both on hand to cover the meeting.
The General Assembly opens Wednesday, January 10, for a "short" session which will last approximately 45 days.
