Confusion continued Friday as a divisive Augusta County Republican Party still could not agree about who was elected unit chairman at Thursday's mass meeting.The Republican Party of Virginia is now in charge of the issue.

Although Hanger expressed concern that since the meeting was "such a bad experience" for people, many might not want to return, he acknowledged the state could invalidate the election.
"If it gets invalidated on a technicality, so be it," Hanger said. "We'll do it again."
