I-64 sniper slapped with 5 more charges

Just a week ago the entire SWAC area was on alert after two motorists on I-64 had been shot by a sniper from overpasses, and a follow-up shooting spree had occurred in Albemarle and Waynesboro. Today the 19-year-old charged in the case, Slade A. Woodson, is sitting in the Middle River jail facility in Augusta County.

Yesterday Woodson appeared in Albemarle County court by way of television screen as he was charged with five more felonies: three counts of shooting from a vehicle and two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling. His 16-year-old accomplice, still in the hosptial after pulling a weapon on a police officer and being shot, was also charged.
