Sleet and rain in Shenandoah Valley....

Even with the blooming trees and flowers that look like spring, we're having rain and sleet today in the Valley. The high temp of 44 occurred this morning; it's been dropping ever since and widespread sleet has been reported throughout the area on a gray, overcast, raw day.

Thankfully SWAC Huband was able to plant his potatoes this morning before the rain/sleet began ... the woodstove is cranked and it's cozy inside. We are still weeks away from our May 15 safe frost date.

It's spring the Shenandoah Valley....
