Frost on the pumpkin in Shenandoah Valley ... 29 degrees

***A Freeze Watch is in effect Sunday Night through Monday Morning for Augusta, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Frederick, Page, Warren and Clark Counties in Virginia, and Hardy County in West Virginia. (Harrisonburg's WHSV TV-3)
It is a brisk morning in the Shenandoah Valley where the temperature dropped to 29 degrees overnight causing widespread frost. Local weather forecasters had prepared us by issuing a freeze watch, giving time to cover tender flowers and vegetables. SWAC Husband covered the tomato plants in the garden that are still producing in hopes of helping them last a little longer.

It was the first night with below freezing temperatures of the autumn season. A frosty morning is on tap with today's temperatures in the 50s and overnight lows in the 30s. Harrisonburg's WHSV TV-3 has the upcoming week's weather forecast.

It's autumn in the Valley ...
