Now there are 10,364 signatures from Augusta Citizens Against Unfair Assessments

The number of signatures continues to grow as more petitions are turned in and folks continue to stop by Churchville attorney Francis Chester's office. I delivered additional petitions to the Augusta County Government Center today which brings the total signatures at this time to 10,364.

While at Mr. Chester's office to pick up the petitions, four more people from the county stopped by to sign. One couple had attended last Wednesday's meeting and were disgusted with the response from the supervisors -- so disgusted that they drove all the way across the county from Stuarts Draft to Churchville to sign the petition.

Phone calls continue to come in from folks angry that supervisors did not listen and did not vote to roll back real estate assessments to 2005 values. Unrest is still in the air.

Meanwhile, we will continue to collect petitions as they are dropped off at the office and I will continue to get them to the Government Center as our list of signatures on the petitions continues to grow.

Tax revolt? Tea party? Frustration? Anger? Something is going on, not just in Augusta County, but nationwide.
