Tea parties nationwide

Augusta tax revolt tea party is Wednesday

ConservativeHQs.com is reporting on tax revolt tea parties that are springing up nationwide:
Dozens of 'Tea Parties' have sprung up across the nation in symbolic protest of the Obama administration's $787 billion stimulus package. Reports of mini 'Tea Parties' range from coast to coast, and attract crowds as large as 1,000 people.

The events initially began a few weeks ago after CNBC's Rick Santelli called for a modern-day 'tea party' during a heated tirade against Obama's economic policies. "President Obama, are you listening?" Santelli rhetorically asks during his spirited rant. "It’s time for another tea party. What we are doing in this country will make Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin roll over in their graves."

In response, thousands of Americans across the country have participated in these tea parties.
Augusta County's own "tea party" will be this Wednesday at 7 pm at the Government Center on Rt. 11 in Verona at the Board of Supervisors meeting. Petitions containing thousands of signatures urging the BOS to roll back assessments to 2005 values will be presented, and many in the community will be speaking.
