West Virginia Senate Committee studies cyberbullying

Google cyberbullying, cyber harassment, or cyberstalking ... and you soon see the issue has become a problem in an age of emails, internet, and social networks such as Facebook and MySpace. Cyberbullying has been described as using technological communications for deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior.

Today the West Virginia state senate Judiciary Committee is considering an anti-harassment internet bill:
Sen. Mike Green of Raleigh County sponsored the bill last week. The measure would make it a crime to send harassing or abusive e-mails or other computer-based communications.
It is an issue that could continue to grow even as legislators struggle to catch up with internet issues.
