Charlottesville Downtown Mall now wireless

After mulling the possibility of making the downtown pedestrian mall in Charlottesville WiFi-friendly, the city followed through and added wireless during their $7.5 million mall overhaul.

In the pedestrian mall which is patron-friendly to begin with due to shade trees and restaurants offering outdoor dining, the addition of free WiFi completes the trendiness of this college town. It is a definite plus at a time when WiFi is being offered in coffee houses, restaurants ... even Martin's grocery store in Staunton has WiFi in their cafe. So ... next time you head to to the Downtown Mall, be sure to carry your laptop.
