Monsoon season in the Valley

The rains continue in the Shenandoah Valley. What has been an incredibly wet spring has upped water table levels and caused the greenery in our yard to grow, grow, grow! We are continuously pruning and trimming to keep from becoming a jungle ... but I think the yard is winning.

Today was no exception. After a sunny morning, the clouds built up on the horizon and precipitation began after lunch time and continued until almost dark. A quick check of the Weather Channel showed more showers on the way.

Over at Republitarian they are talking about the fields being so wet that they cannot get in to work or even replant drowned plants.

Dry weather will be here soon enough as we head into summer ... and then we will be wishing we had some of this rain. Meanwhile ... slosh, slosh, slosh.
