"Oh, Shenandoah ..."

Shenandoah National Park on a gorgeous summer day.

The layers of mountains go on and on and on....

Big Meadows Lodge

Campground ampitheater

In Virginia we are blessed with one of the most beautiful places I know ... Shenandoah National Park. It's a perfect week with low humidity (thanks to a high sitting north of the Shenandoah Valley) and, with Valley temps in the lower to mid-80s, the coolness of the Skyline Drive is welcomed ... highs of 68F to 71F. Bears, deer, wild turkeys ... all part of being in the Park.

"Almost heaven...."
