W-i-n-d-y conditions, brush fires, cold plants....

If you live in the Shenandoah Valley, I hope you covered your plants last night because it got cold again.

We woke this morning to 30 degrees and scattered frost in our corner of the world and, although the temperature is predicted to be in the 60s today, it is expected to drop only into the 40s tonight. Maybe last night was the last cold snap until next fall.

Meanwhile, extremely windy conditions over the weekend cause downed trees and power lines, and scattered brush fires that kept fire fighters busy.

It's a beautiful time of the year in western Virginia.
