Today is our annual Fourth of July cookout so we'll be busy all day preparing for family, friends, and neighbors. SWAC Husband is busy putting two dozen American flags out front in honor of America's birthday and in honor of the military friends who will be joining us this afternoon.I've got more photos to post from yesterday's Staunton parade but they may have to wait until tomorrow. It was lots of fun and we are grateful to all who spent their Saturday morning helping out.
Today's forecast is for hot, dry weather ... at our house the forecast is for friends, hamburgers/ hotdogs/ Italian sausages/BBQ, and lots of fellowship as we remember the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence pledging their lives, liberty, and sacred honor to form a new country called America. We should be willing to do no less.
