Watching for Chick-fil-A opening in Waynesboro

Mike and Bob (see Bob's comments on previous post) have noticed the opening of Waynesboro's new Chick-fil-A taking place Thursday in the ever-growing west end of our neighbor to the east.

Shopping has shifted the past several years to Waynesboro with new "box stores" and restaurants while Staunton has concentrated on tourism such as the Shakespeare theater, Woodrow Wilson birth place, and Frontier Culture Museum. Which is the better way to go? Depends on what you're looking for.

Meanwhile, Chick-fil-A will now be 15 minutes away instead of 45 minutes north of here in Harrisonburg. Since it's located at the Target shopping area with Kohl's and other stores, it will be a popular stop for many. Hearing so many talking about it, I wonder if we'll all cross paths at the Chick-fil-A this week.

When you shop Waynesboro's big box shops, you can thank Albemarle County. I'm sure lots of those stores would like to be in Crozet. Their loss.

Have you seen the craziness at the Chick-fil-A? People are camped out all over the parking lot. I can't believe that people would really do that for a sandwich. That's just plain crazy!

I haven't been over there yet today but hope to check it out shortly. LOL. I'm sure there are lots of young people over there who love this type of thing! Looking forward to checking in on the fun. :)

You're probably right. It would be perfect for high school and college kids.
