News today of three deaths in the political arena are a bit stunning considering two of them were only 51 years old.
Kara Kennedy, 51, youngest child of the late Ted Kennedy and Joan Kennedy, died Friday night of a heart attack after battling lung cancer for the past eight years.
Eleanor Mondale, 51, middle child of Walter Mondale, passed away earlier today. She was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2005 and had fought it off only to see it return.
Former Illinois Sen. Chuck Percy, 91, described as a liberal Republican and protege of Dwight Eisenhower, also passed away Saturday morning. He had been suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.
