Park Service to fence off National Mall?

Fence off the national mall? Under a new plan from the National Park service, that's what would be done to protect the grass that has been enjoyed by millions of Americans throughout the years. No more picnics, frisbee games, and children romping.

Liz Farmer with the Washington Examiner has all the details about the plan that also includes paving pedestrian pathways and adding an underground irrigation system. Should the park service be allowed to block Americans from their own front yard?

It would be a good practice to close off the entire mall every few years or practice a rotational scheme where the sod can rest, be repaired or replaced. Closing off it off entirely is a bridge to far.
