Gardening in the Valley....

"In the spring, at the end of the day,

you should smell like dirt."

--Margaret Atwood

It's a perfect spring day in the Valley with temps in the lower 70s and bright sunshine.

I have taken the opportunity to finish potting the remainder of the plants I bought at Milmont 10 days ago, something that had gotten put on the back burner with all the political happenings the past week. In my "potting shed" under my deck, I have one window box and a few terra cotta pots left to add to the collection already in the yard.

What better way to spend the day than outside in the flowers enjoying the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley....
