39 degrees this morning in western Augusta County

Fall is definitely here as the night temperatures sink lower and lower ... early this morning it was 39 degrees at my house west of Staunton. It wasn't cold enough to bother the flowers but more color can be seen in the leaves today.

Daytime temps in the lower 60s with a slight breeze and bright sunshine are making it a beautiful autumn day, perfect for Dayton Days west of Harrisonburg as hundreds (probably thousands) turned out for that event as well as the Mennonite Relief Sale at the Rockingham Fairgrounds, the Dayton Farmers Market, Apple Days in Waynesboro, and other events around the area.

SWAC Niece is here with her parents for the weekend to celebrate SWAC Daughter's birthday ... grilling out and bonfire tonight!

It's autumn in the Shenandoah Valley....

This reminds me, it's time to uproot all of my tomato plants and get ready for next season.

Fall Foliage Festival is next Weekend too I believe, in Waynesboro.
