If you watch Fox News tonight you will see reports on the Americans for Prosperity rally held outside the Capitol in Washington, DC, this afternoon. Hundreds of representatives from all across the nation showed up with American flags and signs calling for no bailout and responsible spending and lower taxes.

Virginia State Director Ben Marchi and Trixie Averill were part of the large Virginia delegation representing fiscally conservatives from the Commonwealth. As buses unloaded state delegations, music blared from the speakers and everyone enjoyed the beautiful view on a sunny autumn afternoon of our nation's Capitol and the Washington Monument.

College Republicans from the Valley joined us as well as SWAC area residents. We had fun on the bus as everyone visited on the ride to DC. Trixie sang the Mousekateer song and we all sounded off with our names ... and then dove into doughnuts and coffee. Yes ... the CRs rolled their eyes ... but they indulged us older ones.

We are now in the hotel and the reception has started leading up to the Ronald Reagan Tribute dinner at 7:00 with many great guest speakers. I will have more on that later.

Heading out the door to join everyone else for dinner....

More photos later.
