Baby, it's cold outside

While the Shenandoah Valley sits in a deep freeze, weather news from other parts of America sound similar ... record snowfalls, record low temps, heaviest snowfall in decades.

Our day time highs have not gone above freezing for several days ... night time lows have been as low as single digits with windchills hovering around zero.

Baby, it's cold outside.

Other SWAC bloggers are writing about the weather. Fishersville Mike checked the icy 10-day forecast ... Yankee Phil wonders what winter would be like without global warming ... Bob has a photo of icy limbs on Christmas Day ... David has finally dug out from the Dec. 18-19 snowstorm.

Dave sent over the U.S. Chill Map....

Marc Morano at Climate Depot does a great job of disseminating weather information and debunking global warming. If you're not signed up for his emails, you should do so.

Another site to check for weather issues is Ice Cap where a collection of news articles are available from scientists around the world.

Meanwhile, a second cold wave will descend on the United States for the later half of this week. We are expecting snow flurries in the Valley today while those on the other side of the Appalachians have had snow the past three days.

It's winter in the Shenandoah Valley....
