It's a DOWNPOUR!

With thunderstorms to the north and south of us, we though we would miss this round of storms. Then suddenly, about 6:50, a huge clap of thunder that sounded overhead boomed out followed by another, then the wind picked up followed by a downpour ... no, it was a DOWNPOUR ... that is still going on.

I check Weatherbug.com for the forecast:
At 652 PM edt...National Weather Service radar indicated a developing thunderstorm over Churchville...moving east at 25 mph. Locations such as Crimora will likely be affected through 730 PM edt. Occasional cloud to ground lightning is occurring. In addition...heavy downpours may reduce visibility below a mile and cause ponding of water on roadways.
They called that one....

Isn't it great? We've had at least 1.5 inches of rain this past week.
