Colorado girl recovers from bubonic plague

Bubonic plague in Colorado? This is rather bothersome considering a seven-year-old girl went on a family camping trip and then got sick with bubonic plague a few days later.  Apparently infected fleas from a dead squirrel were the culprit.

Thought to have the flu, the little girl's parent's rushed her to the hospital when she began having seizures and it was discovered she had bubonic plague. Doctors said she would have died within 24-48 hours if not treated.
