To the Editor:
I have known George Allen since he was a young college student. I came to know him through our mutual admiration of Ronald Reagan. When George moved to Virginia from California, Mr. Reagan was the governor of California. George was able to teach me about Mr. Reagan through his experience as a resident of California.
As a history major, he immediately embraced Mr. Jefferson’s love of freedom for the American people.
As far as I am concerned, he embodies the philosophies of our two greatest presidents, Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Reagan. George does not speak of these men to win the voters favor; he speaks of them because they are his motivation for running for office. He wants our country to operate within their philosophies.
We are fortunate to have a man such as George to be willing to represent us in the U.S. Senate during these trying times.
