"Valley Politico" ... who's the new blog on the block?

Blogging at "Valley Politico"

A new political blog is about to enter the blogosphere in Virginia and the Valley, thanks to Bob Stuart, the journalist at the Waynesboro News Virginian who covers area politics.

Bob, a veteran reporter with many years of experience (many, many, many years ... I kid, Bob! ... but I can say that because he and I graduated together from high school) will jump into the world of the new media to report on local, state, and national politics. In a phone interview with him he said he would concentrate mostly on local politics but cover the others as well.

Slated to start up this week, "Valley Politico" will be part of the News Virginian's growing stable of blogs as they continue to update their website and add new and better additions as well as updated news stories on a continuing basis throughout the day.

The new blog will be added to Bob's already busy schedule including his hard-copy newspaper reporting. He joins Jim Sacco's sports blog and Sage Merritt's features blog on the NV site, with another blog expected to be added soon.
Hopefully, Bob's dry wit, which is often (of necessity) missing in his news stories, will be revealed in his blog observations. Bob Stuart is not the humorless, mundane newspaperman that you see standing before you. He is a mischievous thing in his private life and that will probably be revealed as more of his personality slips through in the more casual form of writing that is known as blogging.

He and I still laugh about 7th grade when the teacher made him stand in the corner balancing two books, one in each hand, because he had misbehaved yet another time in class.

It's great to have another voice in the Valley. Welcome to the blogosphere, Bob!
