Feeding the ducks in Staunton's Gypsy Hill Park

The ducks and geese were happy to see SWAC Niece with food in her hand. They squawked and flocked where she was standing ... and the gold fish gathered there, too.

Meandering Lewis Creek runs through Gypsy Hill Park and downtown Staunton. It even goes under the Johnson Street parking deck.

The temptation was too much ... she had to wade in it.

The Stonewall Brigade Bandstand looks deserted with nothing going on ... but on Thursdays they have Jazz in the Park at 8:00 p.m.

Back on the trolley ... enjoying the ride to the Wharf parking area.

SWAC Niece wanted to feed the ducks in Gypsy Hill Park while visiting. Mission accomplished! It was the first day of school for local children and the ducks acted as if they were starving so it must have been a barren morning with few kids in the park.
