Shenandoah Valley has 3rd day of rain

Out and about in the rain in Augusta County.

The mountains were obscured by fog.

After a long dry spell, Friday saw the third day of thunderstorms hitting the Shenandoah Valley with heavy rain in the SWAC area. The mountains were socked in with fog and rain, and visibility at one time was almost nil.

The rain was much appreciated and had moved on by late afternoon. The grass is greening a bit and is not as crackly underfoot; the garden has perked up.

It's late summer in the Shenandoah Valley....
