Postcards from Minneapolis

I have been honored to be asked by the Waynesboro News Virginian to correspond from the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul as they cover the event through the eyes of SWAC Daughter and myself. Blog posts as well as hard-copy stories will follow the events and activities of the week.

Today is the kick-off article by Bob Stuart, "Augusta's own ready to be GOP National delegate."

Preparations for the trip continue ... it is only 11 days away. Information arrives daily through email, RSVPs are answered, and schedules are tuned and fine-tuned as speaker announcements and evening line-ups are revealed.

There will be much to learn at the convention and much to see. I am hoping to be able to blog from inside the Xcel Energy Center. At the very least, I will be able to blog from my room in between events. Finding the time to write is probably going to be the most challenging aspect since days and nights look as if they will be jam-packed with activities and entertainment.

Watch for "Postcards from Minneapolis" in the News Virginian the week of September 1-4.
