Drove across the mountain beyond wintergreen to get some apples yesterday, you are already seeing big dabs of red on the mountains, it's just about here (and I'm so glad we have had a more healthy rainfall in the past few weeks so we don't have a repeat of last year where everything was dry and just turned brown too fast). Another week or so and the Blue Ridge Parkway is going to be calling my name for a drive.
I hate to see winter come, but the Stamen apples, Pumpkin pies and lovely leaves make it pleasant to ease into.
