Boston lock-down: The world is watching

As events unfold today in Boston, proof that the world is watching came from my Richmond sister as we talked on the phone this morning. Her family had hosted at French exchange student in February, a young man named Pierre from the rural area of France outside Paris. A friendship has sprung up between the two families that will continue through the years as they visit back and forth across the Atlantic.

My sister heard from Pierre's mother who inquired as to the safety of my sister's family after the horrific bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday. It was a genuine concern and proof the world is watching what is going on in this country.

It's a reminder that in man's inhumanity to man, there is still good in the world....
