Today the mystery donor was revealed. It was none other than Tracy Davis, a member of the Staunton Republican Committee and father of GOP activist Alex Davis. He was unable to join us for the debate party but left munchies for us to enjoy.About 6:00 this evening I went outside to turn the tiny twinkling lights on in the wisteria on the front porch ... and there sat a can of cashews and two 2-liter Canada Dry ginger ales at the front door. I am assuming they are snacks for tonight's "Chick" debate party ... but who was the mystery donor?
Maybe it was someone who will be back for the party ... or maybe it was someone who wanted to participate but had a conflict of plans ... but wherever they came from, we thank you. Please let me know who you were so I can properly thank you.
Meanwhile, we are three hours away from the start of the debate which is at 9:00 from Washington University in St. Louis.
