Back in the homeschool classroom: Congratulations to PEACH Class of 2012!

Parent Educators of Augusta County Homes (PEACH) homeschool graduations are different than those of public schools. Parents, who have been deeply involved in years of hands-on education at home with their children, also take part in graduation. During the ceremony, as each graduate's name is read, his or her parents also go on stage and talk briefly about their child. Each grad sets up individual exhibits in the reception area that tell their lives in a nutshell ... photos of experiments and field trips, book reports, awards won through sports or 4-H and other competitions -- smiling faces of fellow homeschool students and siblings.

It's a time of happiness for all families, a moment in time to share and be shared with family and friends. This year's PEACH Class of 2012 consisted of 16 students who proudly wore caps and gowns in a ceremony to commemorate their  years of commitment. They now move on to the next part of their life's journey.

Congratulations, PEACH Class of 2012! You and your parents did it!
