Working the 2008 Augusta County Fair ... Day 2

Goodlatte, Gilmore, McCain represented at the booth.

Day 2 of the Augusta County Fair found the GOP booth full of volunteers who blew up balloons, talked with folks, registered new voters, and enjoyed the evening. The air conditioned building is extremely appreciated. Former Augusta County Supervisor Kay Frye stopped by to chat for a while; Supervisor Larry Howdyshell was seen on the premises. Many friends dropped in to say hello and pick up materials.

Congressman Bob Goodlatte is tentatively scheduled to be at the booth Saturday night. If you are at the fair, stop by to pick up a blue Bob Goodlatte helium balloon, some bumper stickers, yard signs, and chat. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Y'all should tape the Gilmore signs to the bottom of the McCain signs for better visibility.

We tried that but since they were yard signs, they were too heavy to stay up.

The fair redesigned the set-up this year so there is no backdrop to use for signs as in the past. Maybe we can improvise something better tonight. Thanks for the suggestion ... good eye!
