Mountain garden gate ... Shenandoah County, Va.

An invitation to a Shenandoah County secret garden
overlooking the Appalachian Mountains in the distance....

Open the garden gate
Butterflies float gently on the breeze as they flutter by
Emerald tones of grass blanket the ground.
Rose's trail and twist on the broken trellis.
Petals glisten and radiate rainbow blooms
Tiny birds flit across your path
The sun warms your face.
This is utopia
Open the garden gate

Lynn, may I keep a copy of this photo. I think I may paint it one day. Thank you for sharing such peace.

Joy, what a wonderful compliment! Please do keep it and someday when you're in Texas and paint this picture, remember it was a beautiful August day in Shenandoah County, Virginia. The temperature was 80 degrees, a gentle breeze was blowing, and the mountains were beautiful in the distance. :)

Thank you so much. It would be a good one to get lost in on a 100+ day in TX.

LOL. Yeah ... you'll be painting and remember what I said and kind of smack me figuratively up side the head with a paint brush! Enjoy!
