Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling today announced that he has received the endorsement of Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) for Governor of Virginia in 2013.
Congressman Cantor stated, “I have known and worked with Bill for almost 20 years and I know he is a strong, experienced conservative we all will be proud of as Governor. Bill has served on the Board of Supervisors in Hanover County, for 10 years as a State Senator, and he is now in his second term as Lieutenant Governor. He is one of the most experienced candidates that has ever sought the position of Governor in Virginia. And, as Governor, Bill Bolling will continue the successful policies of Governor Bob McDonnell. I hope you will join me in supporting Bill Bolling for Governor. He has the right experience, the conservative values and the ability to unite our Party so we can win in 2013.”

Congressman Cantor has joined Governor Bob McDonnell in endorsing Lieutenant Governor Bolling for Governor in 2013. Earlier this week, the Bolling campaign also announced the support of more than 100 Republican Party leaders from all across Virginia. These Republican leaders know that Bill Bolling has the ability to win in 2013, and the ability to lead Virginia and build on the progress started during the McDonnell/Bolling administration.
Working with Governor McDonnell, Lieutenant Governor Bolling has put forth a positive, conservative agenda to create jobs and improve the quality of life for all Virginians. In 2010 Governor McDonnell appointed Lieutenant Governor Bolling to serve in his cabinet as Virginia’s Chief Jobs Creation Officer, where he has led the effort to reduce Virginia’s unemployment to 5.6% and help create over 122,400 jobs.
In his role as President of the Senate of Virginia, Lieutenant Governor Bolling has cast tie breaking votes to put Republicans in control of the Senate, expand educational choice by providing tuition tax credits for low income students to attend private schools, strengthen property rights, and prevent mandatory and costly union “Project Labor Agreements.” He has opposed tax increases and worked to reduce unnecessary and burdensome regulations on business.
