It's been 75 years since aviator Amelia Earhart disappeared, sparking one of the most puzzling and intriguing mysteries in history. It's a subject I've been very interested in since first learning of it as a school student and now, as Doug Mataconis reports, this mystery may be on the verge of being solved.
Over the years, there have been dozens of documentaries about her disappearance and, indeed, Gardner Island was suspected as the final landing place of Earhart and her navigator. If finally proven to be true, many will be happy to have closure to the question of what happened to Amelia Earhart.
