Citizens Task Force members address Augusta Board of Supervisors

Two members of the Augusta County Citizens Task Force Against Pornography addressed the Augusta Board of Supervisors Wednesday night to ask that the county enact ordinances restricting the location of adult businesses in the county.

Sharon Pettyjohn and Kim Wiseman asked supervisors to be pro-active and place laws on the books before Augusta is faced with the same situation that occurred recently in Staunton when an adult book store opened without ordinances in place.

Chairman David Beyeler said the proposed ordinances had been passed along to the Planning Commission.
