Three grills were going manned by SWAC Husband, my brother-in-law, SWAC Son, and Alex. Z Bear took some great photos and shared them to post to the blog. More photos here.
They grilled 30 chicken breasts, 30 brats, 32 hotdogs, and 36 hamburgers. Nothing was left over....
That many hotdogs, brats, and hamburgers called for buns, buns, buns....
Kelly Keech's homemade apple pie was still hot from the oven when she arrived. Not a crumb was left over....
When dark fell we had dozens of glow bracelets for adults and youth alike ... they glowed in the dark as all watched fireworks....

This backyard has been used for Capture the Flag games for years. Over 40 young people -- home schooled grads, college friends, and work friends -- joined us for food, fun, and games.
So much fun from a glow bracelet. The adults had as much fun as the young people ... were we flashing back to our youth and those rock concerts we attended years ago?

The SWAC Girl Crew.SWAC Son was in the middle of a Capture the Flag game and not in the photo.
It was fun ... old friends, new friends ... those who touch our hearts. We were blessed to be able to share a special patriotic day with them all.

I didn't know you were having brats, I'd I've rented a wheelchair. Looks like all had a great time and I'm sorry I coundn't attend.
