A student attending Richmond's John Tyler Community College called Glenn Beck's radio show Thursday morning to relay an interesting exchange in his political science class. A fellow student was refuting the instructor's arguments and, when the irritated instructor walked to the student's desk, he saw Glenn Beck's "Arguing With Idiots" book which resulted in an outburst of laughter from the class.
The student called to let Glenn Beck know his book had been useful in debating an argument with the instructor, and went on to say the instructor told them they would get one extra point on their work for every wrong fact in the Glenn Beck book.
The student asked the instructor if he could do the same with a left-leaning book to which the instructor responded yes ... but added he couldn't think of anyone.
Michael Moore, anyone? Al Gore? Their books are full of factual mistakes. And that is what Glenn Beck told the student ... and then told him he would send 30 of his "Arguing With Idiots" books for each student in the class to have one ... and he would be sure to make one out to the teacher.
He also noted there were points in "Arguing With Idiots" that could be used by this student to earn extra credit by exposing liberal misstatements.
I would look it up ... but my husband has taken his copy of "Arguing With Idiots" with him to work today.
